The Power Angle Software Critical Path Method Project Scheduler is
currently available completely FREE. This is a fully
operational, fully featured program that can handle up to one hundred
connected project tasks. It is not time limited or disabled in
any way, and you can get it and still remain anonymous. That means
that you can be sure that no saleman will ever call! Just download and
run CPMSetup.EXE, and then run the program (Schedule.exe). Read the
Overview and Operation Help menu items to learn how it works, open the
included sample project (HouseExample.cpm) to try out the displays,
and then use it all you want. Completamente Gratis!
This program is specifically designed for small projects, and is
therefore a very basic although complete treatment of the critical path
method. Other CPM programs contain specialized optimization features,
and may allow thousands of tasks. They are Cadillacs with OnStar. This
program is a sportscar with a five speed stick. Basic and small, but
fun to drive. It is not necessary to take classes or read books to
learn how to use it.
The program automatically draws a project graph (task connection
diagram) each time a new task is added to the project.
Additional visual assistance is available, including Gantt charts,
Labor and Cost charts, individual task connection charts, and
text output, specifying the complete CPM solution (early
starts, late starts, slack and free slack times, etc.). Print Preview
and Print is available for each of these visual displays.
What's the catch? There is no catch! If you like it, use it. If you
don't like it, don't use it. Your choice. If the program malfunctions
for any reason, however, we would appreciate it if you let us know
what happened so we can fix it.
